Ingredients :
- 1 cup of soak rice
- 1 cup of soak moong dal
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 1 medium tomato (finely chopped)
- 1 tbsp of ghee
- 1 bay leaf
- salt to taste
- 2 & 1/2 glass of water
Spices :
- 1 tsp of cumin powder
- 1 tsp of coriander powder
- 1 tsp of chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp of turmeric
- 1/2 tsp asafoetida (hing)
How to :
- add dal, rice, turmeric powder, salt & water in a pressure cooker, cook for 2 whistles
- heat the ghee in the pan
- add bay leaf & onion, cook for 20 seconds
- add tomato, cook for 2 minutes
- add all spices cook for 15 seconds
- add cooked dal & rice, cook for 3 minutes
- garnish with coriander leaves
- Serve the Dal Khichdi
